We would love to hold a
seminar at your location!
Here is how you can
help:
- You should find a
suitable FREE location that can easily accommodate up to 30 people.
- You agree to be the local
contact leading up to the event. You should have an email address and
telephone number.
- You agree to advertise the
seminar locally and to other churches in the region.
If the church
or agency has their own webpage, you might suggest they advertise on their
site. A bulletin insert is ideal.
- You need to find one or two
volunteer assistants for the event. They will help with serving snacks,
helping people with directions, finding suitable lodging for those who
require an overnight stay. Arrange for a coffeemaker, water kettle for tea,
drinking water and a table for snacks.
- You will arrive early on the
day of the seminar to help setup and also ensure the facilities are left in
good shape at the end of the day.
- We will need a table or two
for our display & books and a projector screen.
- If GO staff require an
overnight stay, any help in finding billets or reasonable hotel
accommodation would be appreciated.
- Since we
offer these seminars for free, we would
appreciate the host taking a free will offering at the
end of the seminar and
doing this on our behalf. Any
suggestions you may have on how we can make this event revenue neutral ie.
to cover the expenses of presenter travel and handbook printing cost would
be appreciated.
- If you can find a local
church that would like to have a guest speaker for the Sunday after the
seminar, we would love the opportunity to share the tentmaking message with
them.
We will help you with:
- Mini-posters,
bulletin inserts and powerpoint announcements for the event.
- Seminar advertising on the
internet and on our website.
- Setting up on the
day of
the event and with cleanup afterwards.
- Recognition of your
organization/church on our website
