 Internships

AIESEC is the world's premiere student-run international organization dedicated to increasing cultural understanding and cooperation through running an international paid-internship program. We help U.S. companies reach out to young business and I.T. professionals in over 700 universities worldwide.  We also help U.S. students find paid internships abroad in any of our 80+ member countries.

The Internship Programme is intended to provide university students and recent graduates, who have an interest in peacekeeping and international affairs, with work experience and greater exposure to the activities of the Centre. Following arrival and orientation at the Pearson Peacekeeping Centre, Interns are given responsibilities designed to assist other staff in its major departments; Programmes, either in the training or development sections; Research; Library; the Office of the President. While every effort will be made to accommodate a candidate’s background, specific tasking is based on Pearson Peacekeeping Centre requirements, related skills and mutual interest. Interns are also expected to provide assistance in the areas of general administration and library support. Weekly meetings are held with the Internship Coordinator to discuss the Programme and activities of the Centre. Internships may be requested and granted for periods lasting from four to eight months. While at the Centre, Interns receive on-site meals and accommodation, an honorarium of CDN$300 per month, a one-time travel reimbursement valued up to CDN$300. Preference will be given to applicants with a degree in Development Studies, Political Sciences, Marketing, Peace and Conflict Studies, International Relations, or degrees relating to international affairs and peacekeeping.
